(NewsDakota.com) The Imperials of Napoleon/Gackle-Street reigned over the Oakes High School Wrestling and Girls Basketball teams on Tuesday night.
The Imperial grapplers defeated Oakes 45-30 in the Tornadoe’s final duel of the 2014-15 season.
Grayson Roney, Chris Schmidt, Brady Ptacek and Michael Kelly all won their matches via pins at 126, 132, 145 and 285 pounds respectfully, while Erik Loepp won via a forfeit at 138 pounds. The Tornadoes will take part in the Nick Storhaug Invitational Tournament at Lisbon High School on Friday and Saturday.
Meanwhile the Imperial girls basketball team took down the Tornado girls in Napoleon Tuesday night by a score of 76-42. The Oakes girls record now stands at 3-9 overall, and will host undefeated and third ranked Carrington Thursday night, with coverage on KDDR-AM 1220/95.9 FM and NewsDakota.com starting at 7:15 p.m.
