N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota State Capitol is once again looking at the question of guns in schools.

Lawmakers are looking at a bill that would allow a person with a conceal and carry permit to carry a firearm inside a school. And according to Valley News Live, the bill has some schools and parents on edge.

“If a teacher were to get this or a principal, or superintendent, what a great responsibility it would be and everyone would look for this person to act. that really scares me.” Hillsboro Superintendent Paula Pederson stated.

Valley City Representative Dwight Kiefert wants trained teachers to be able to conceal and cary with the focus on rural areas in the state. A similar bill made it through the house two years ago, but failed in the senate.
