ND  (NewsDakota.com)  Both the girls and boys basketball teams for Carrington will be on the road to Casselton to take on the Region 1 Squirrels of Central Cass on Friday (Jan. 16).  A total of five games on two courts will take place starting at 4:30pm with both junior varsity teams taking the court (girls on north court, boys on the south court), followed by the Varsity girls (north court) and ‘C’ squad boys (south court) at 6pm, then the Varsity boys will tip at 7:15pm (north court).  The Central Cass boys are rated number five in the state of North Dakota right now with a 6-0 record.  Both varsity games can be heard on AM 1600 KDAK and newsdakota.com starting about 15 minutes before the scheduled tip off time.   

Both Carrington boys and girls varsity teams won earlier this week.  In their first District 5 match up this year, the boys beat Midkota 76-29 in Carrington and the girls won their third District 5 match up of the year on Monday with a victory over Barnes County North in Leal by a final score of 50-33.  

No. 4 Carrington girls are undefeated at 9-0 (3-0), the boys are 6-2 (1-0).

The Carrington boys team will also play a make up game this Saturday (Jan. 17) at Edmore against Lakota/Edmore, pregame will start about 6:15pm on AM 1600 KDAK and newsdakota.com, tip off at 6:30pm.
