(NewsDakota.com) Fresh off wins against Bethel College and seventh ranked College of Saint Mary in Miami, Florida, The Valley City State women’s basketball team returned home on Tuesday night for a match up with NCAA DII Bemidji State. This time the Vikings would be on the wrong side of the score board as they fell to the Beavers 73-54.
While Valley City’s Allyson Suhr had a strong game under the basket knocking down a team high 12 points, it was Bemidji’s Sierra Senske who dominated the post. The Beavers Center tallied a game high 25 points.
While the Vikings made just 33 percent of their shots, Bemidji hit an outstanding 51 percent from the field.
The loss drops the Vikings to 10-6 on the season .They return to the court this weekend when they travel to Denver, Colorado with the men’s team for the Johnson and Wales Classic.
