(NewsDakota.com) – The Jimmie basketball teams played their final home games of the season before the conference season begins on January 21st against Johnson & Wales on Saturday evening. Both teams picked up victories with the women winning 94-76 and the men followed suit with a 96-69 win.

Chelsey Frydenlund’s 19 points lead five Jimmies in double-figures. Jamestown did a nice job of keeping the Wildcats at arm’s length during the second half, JWU cut the deficit to 13 with about 10 minutes remaining. That was as close as they got.

Jamestown made 10-of-20 three-point attempts.

Jessica Buck and Kyra Dewald had 15 a piece while Kaeli Kraska and Kadie Savage also ended in double figures. Bryn Woodside added nine.

On the men’s side it was another stellar night from Brequan Tucker who dropped in 29 points in a Jimmie rout. Jamestown lead by 14 at the break and used an early second-half run to extend their lead to 30.

Cedric Smith came off the bench with 17 points and all 10 Jimmies that played scored in the game.
