(NewsDakota.com) – The Jimmie men’s basketball team finished up their 2014 portion of the schedule with weekend trips to Minot and Moorhead for exhibition games against NSIC teams. On Saturday night, they were beaten by Minot State 85-60 and then on Sunday they lost to MSU-Moorhead, 88-71.

The Jimmies raced out to an 18-9 lead over Minot State but eventually trailed 31-30 into the halftime break. Minot came out firing on all cylinders in the second half lead by Thomas Korf’s four three-pointers. The Beavers outscored Jamestown 54-30 in the second half.

On Sunday, the Jimmies trailed for most of the game but trimmed the 21-point deficit to 10 late in the second halt at 67-57. UJ coach Alan Magani took a timeout and the Dragons rattled off a 9-0 following the Jimmie timeout.

Jamestown is off until January 3rd when they host Johnson & Wales.
