ND (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Blue Jay girl’s basketball was up in the Magic City to battle No. 5 Minot on Thursday night. The Magi had lost two in the row after entering the season ranked second, but they were able to put the losing streak to bed knocking off the Jays 53-28.
Jamestown hung with Minot in the early going playing to a 10-10 before the Magi were able to take control. Minot closed the half on a 14-3 run and never looked back.
The Blue Jays went over nine minutes without a field goal in the second half as Minot built a lead as big as 29. Jamestown is still search for win number one as they are now 0-4 (0-2) and are off until December 27th when they will play a non-conference game against the Valley City Hi-Liners.
