N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Foster County State’s Attorney Paul Murphy and Foster County Commission chairman Bill Bauer gave an update on the situation in Foster County during a news conference on December 11. They say the county is between a rock and hard place after five county officials resigned including the Sheriff, Deputy Sheriff, Auditor, Clerk of Court and Assistant Clerk of Court.

Foster County State’s Attorney Paul Murphy says despite a few rumors circulating no former county official is under investigation and no charges are pending against anyone. He and Bauer say the county is working to get all of these positions filled.

Anyone with experience as a former or current Clerk of Court or Assistant Clerk of Court and can work full-time or part-time should call the Foster County Clerk of Court office as soon as possible.
