R. Besette, age 63 of Tower City, ND died Dec. 8, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Valley City.  A Memorial Service will be conducted at 7 PM Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tower City with Rev. Chris Brademeyer officiating.  Visitation will be from 6PM until 7PM at the church Friday evening.  Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, near Valley City, ND at 10 AM Saturday Dec. 13, 2014 with full military honors.

Steven Besette was born April 20, 1951 at Mercy Hospital in Valley City, ND, the son of Wesley and Margaret (Reimer) Besette.  He graduated from Tower City High School in 1970 and then joined the US Army in 1971.  He was stationed in Alaska for 2 years.  Following his return from active duty he worked for Northern Improvement and Mercy Hospital.  He attended Moorhead Technical School and graduated with an electrical degree and then began working for Grotberg Electric.  In 1975 he married Colleen Gubrud and together they had three sons: Kirk, Lance, and Travis.  Steve married Linda Lange in 1985 and together they had 2 sons: Ryan and Grant.

Steve enjoyed spending time with family.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting.  He was always proud of his five boys and was never too prideful to announce it.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attended many of their activities.

Steve is survived by his sons: Kirk Besette, Lance (Bridget) Besette, Travis (Darcie) Besette, Ryan Besette, and Grant Besette; his grandchildren: Kaida Walch, Eden Besette, Gavin Besette, Hallie Besette, and Hannah Besette; brothers, David (Linda) Besette and Fred Besette; and a special friend Becky Wolhart.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda and his parents.
