BISMARCK (NewsDakota.com) The start of the 2014-15 season was not particularly kind to the Jamestown High School basketball teams, as both the Blue Jay boys and girls fell to Bismarck Century on Friday night in the WDA Jamboree at the Bismarck Civic Center.

Blue Jay girls lost to Century 59-23 in the first half of the doubleheader. Jamestown only netted 13 in the first 18 minutes, and the other 10 in the second half. Taylor Schmeichal lead the way for the Jays with 11 points.
The boys of Jamestown High faired somewhat better in their contest against the Patriots, as they were within one possesion late in the first half, but the second half saw Century comfortably pad their lead for an 84-52 victory. Noah Wanzek had 11 points, and Nick Fuchs finished with 10 points.
