ND  (NewsDakota.com)  The Foster County Commissioner Board held a special meeting on Thursday afternoon at the courthouse to discuss bringing in the newly elected Foster County Auditor Casey Cables as soon as possible.  Lame-duck Auditor Teresa Risovi resigned earlier this week.

Cables was to originally start on Jan. 1, 2015, and train along side the current auditor until April 1st, but was asked to start early due to the resignation of Risovi.  Cables informed the board towards the end of the meeting that she will continue her job in Grace City until next week Friday and then will start training on Monday, December 15th as the County Auditor.  In the meantime, the Board was concerned about certain tax deadlines that needed to be met before December 26th and are looking at bringing in someone else from the outside with experience on a temporary basis to complete those deadlines.

Risovi was also the Foster County Emergency Manager, Deputy Auditor Heather Martin agreed to help out until someone is hired for the full-time position.
