Busche, age 89 of Jamestown, ND and formerly of Litchville, ND died Dec. 1, 2014 at his winter residence in Yuma, AZ.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Monday, Dec. 8, 2014 at Griswold Lutheran Church near Litchville, ND with Rev. Joanne Moeller officiating.  A Prayer Service will be  conducted at 7 PM Sunday evening at the Lerud-Schuldt Funeral Home in Valley City.  Burial will be in the Griswold Cemetery with full military honors.  Visitation will be from 5 PM until 7 PM Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.

Benjamin Joseph Busche was born Jan. 4, 1925 at Litchville, ND, the son of Louis and Amanda (Wegner) Busche.  He was baptized and confirmed at Griswold Lutheran Church.  He attended Griswold School and following his graduation from Litchville High School he entered the US Navy during WW II.  He returned to North Dakota and on June 14, 1953 was united in marriage with Frances Jean Smith at Trinity Lutheran Church at Enderlin, ND.  The couple made their home and farmed near Litchville, ND. Benjamin was a member of Griswold Lutheran Church,  Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Eagles.

Survivors include his wife Frances, 2 sons: David (Ginni) Busche, Viroqua, WI and Tim (Kristin) Busche, Ypsilanti, MI; 2 daughters: Debbie (Brad) Scherr, Jamestown, ND and Theresa (Tim) Peterson, Brooklyn Park, MN; and grandchildren: Jessica and Sarah Scherr, Amanda, Gregory, and Matthew Busche, and Trinity, Melody, Yasha, Shiloh, Jebidiah, Lydia, Liberty, and Sarah Busche.
