A. Trapp, 90, Valley City, ND died December 1, 2014 at the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City. She was born April 28, 1924 near Marion, ND to Anthony and Esther (Duven) Boom. She graduated from Marion High School. During WWII, she went to Spokane, WA to help replenish jobs formerly held by the men who were overseas.
On December 18, 1945, she married Myles Trapp at Marion. Together they raised their four sons. The family moved to Valley City, ND in 1969. Lucille continued to be an active member of United Methodist Women and began golfing.
In 1983, Lucille and Myles made Mesa, AZ their permanent residence where they sold manufactured homes. During this time, she painted pictures for her family and friends and was an active member at the Sunrise Vista clubhouse. They returned to Valley City in 2002. She entered the Sheyenne Care Center in 2007.
Lucille is survived by her husband, Myles; three sons, Daniel (Cheryl) of Jamestown, ND, David (Patty) of Valley City, and Michael (Cindy)of West Fargo, ND; daughter-in-law, Dawn Trapp of West Fargo; a sister, Mildred (Milton) Dunwell of Farmington, MN; a sister-in-law, Shirley Boom of Fargo, ND; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Timothy; a brother, Robert; and sisters, Ethel and Ramona.
A memorial service for Lucille will be held at the Epworth United Methodist Church in Valley City on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Dayne Zachrison will officiate. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service on Thursday.
