N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 24th Annual Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner in Jamestown served a record 661 dinners during the 2 hour event.
The dinner was started 24 years ago when Fritz Buegel prepared 20 free Thanksgiving meals for the community. The tradition continued this year, when over 600 people came and enjoyed the delicious meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, homemade stuffing and pumpkin pie.
Organizer Betty Mahlke stated that it the turnout this year was amazing.
