Aberle, 61, of Edgeley, ND, passed away on Thanksgiving morning, surrounded by his loving family, after battling cancer for 9 years.

Jerome Adam Aberle was born on July 22, 1953 in LaMoure, ND, the son of August and Mary Eva (Mathern) Aberle. He attended Edgeley High School and Hanson’s Trade School to become a mechanic. Jerome operated a repair shop in Fargo for a few years, then returned to Edgeley and worked for Anderson Bros. He farmed for a while, then owned and operated Aberle Repair in Edgeley for 25 years. Jerome enjoyed helping people and repairing anything that needed it.

Jerome is survived by his wife, Doreen; children, Jeremy (Amber), Jennifer (friend, Milo), Casandra (friend, Cory); grandchildren, Hunter, Anika, Danica, Elliott, and Mattie; brothers, Raymond (Patty), David, Ronnie, Gerald, and Patrick; and sisters, Betty (Ed) Peck and Donna (Jerry) Bauer.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley.

Visitation: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 1, 2014 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley.

Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 1, 2014 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley.

Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Edgeley.
