CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Barnes County Salvation Army Bell Ringing campaign is underway.

Co-event coordinator Lee Isensee says the need is greater now and the community support and donations we receive are appreciated once again this year.

Co-event coordinator Joe Lunde says the goal is to raise $50,000. He says community support with the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign has been fantastic and your donations are greatly appreciated.

Lunde and Isensee are reminding those in the area who receive requests in the mail from the Salvation Army that if you could drop your check into the local kettle or give one of them a call they would come and pick it up. The money can be used for local needs in Barnes County.

Bell ringers are needed at Marketplace Food, Shopko and Leevers Foods in Valley City. People interested in becoming a bell ringer should call Joe Lunde at 840-0908, Lee Isensee at 840-0335, Dave Carlsrud at 840-7291 or Phil Leitner at 490-0597.
