CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The selection committee of the North Dakota Agriculture Hall of Fame is asking the public for candidate suggestions for the 2015 Ag Hall of Fame Inductees. Either organizations or individuals may nominate candidates and the deadline for nominations is December 1st, 2014.
The North Dakota Agriculture Hall of Fame is a statewide organization that recognizes those people who have made a meaningful contribution to the state’s agricultural industry.
Individuals are eligible to be nominated if they satisfy at least two of three requirements: Be at least 45 years old, Retired from an agricultural related career and Accumulated at least 20 years of service to the Ag industry in North Dakota.
Agricultural groups and organizations, which are represented on the selection committee include: N.D. Lamb & Wool Producers, N.D. Grain Growers, N.D. Stockmen’s Assoc., N.D. Oilseed Council, N.D. Dept. of Agriculture, N.D. Pork Producers Council, NDSU Extension Service, N.D. Farm Bureau, N.D. Farmers Union, N.D. Vocational Agriculture, North Dakota Winter Show and a representative from N.D.’s farm broadcasters and Ag journalists.
The new inductees will be chosen in December and will then be honored during a ceremony at the North Dakota Winter Show on Saturday March 7th, 2015.

The permanent home for the state’s Agriculture Hall of Fame is at the North Dakota Winter Show Event Center. A second display is also available for viewing at the Rosebud Visitor’s Center in Valley City.
