FORKS, ND (NewsDakota.com) – Senior running-back and four year starter Brock Robbins rushes for three touchdowns to help the Cavalier Tornadoes win the 9-man State Championship in North Dakota at the Alerus Center on Friday afternoon. They complete a perfect season at 13-0 after the 36-6 victory over Shiloh Christian. Bismarck Shiloh Christian drops to 11-1 and finishes runner-up.

The game was scoreless after one quarter of play, but then Cavalier went on a scoring spree getting a quick touchdown at the start of the second quarter when quarterback Trent Karel ran it in from 22 yards out making it 6-0 Tornadoes. Then Robbins would score twice before halftime making it 24-0 at the half.

After Robbins scored his third touchdown in the third quarter, Shiloh Christian would get on the board in the fourth quarter when Blake Emmel ran in from a yard out making it 30-6 Cavalier. About five minutes later, the Tornadoes would score the final touchdown of the game when Karel connected with Blake Kaercher for a 46-yard touchdown pass completion.

Cavalier had 367 yards of total offense compared to 173 from Shiloh. Robbins ended with 29 carries for 142 yards and three touchdowns, averaging almost five yards per carry. The Tornadoes had 18 first downs and no turnovers.
