N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Medina/Streeter Hustlers 4-H Club is seeking the public’s help to collect items to donate to homeless veterans in the area.

Volunteer Jami Reister with the 4-H group stated that they would be collecting enough items to create roughly 200 Blessing Bags to donate to Homeless Veterans in Bismarck and the Homeless Coalition in Jamestown.

“We’re looking to have all items by November 27th and the groups will put the bags together on December 7th. Members from Bismarck will come and pick up half of the bags and the rest will go to Jamestown.”

You can help their cause by donating travel sized items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, hand warmers, caps, gloves, etc. They’ve already recieved some items from local businesses.

“We’ve already had some donations from Dr. Andersen in Jamestown and Dr. Ally has provided some toothbrushes and dental floss.”

The goal is to create 200 bags, but if there are enough items, they’ll create more bags. If you’d like to donate items or money to purchase more items, contact Jami at 701-269-8452.
