N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two men died after their vehicle was struck by a snow plow on Highway 13 near Wahpeton Thursday, November 6 around 8:05 p.m.

A snow plow operator traveling West on Highway 13 approached a two way intersection and saw another vehicle. The second vehicle driven by a 20 year-old Taylor Cofell of LaMoure attempted to make a left hand turn and was struck on the rear driver side door by the snow plow.

Cofell and his passenger, 20 year-old Thomas Serr of Aberdeen were pronounced dead at the scene. The patrol says they were not wearing their seat belts.

The snow plow operator 48 year-old Ron Brakke of Sheldon was not injured. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
