N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for October 17th through November 6th.

Fire Chief Jim Ruether released the following run report for the Fire Department. Last year, the department responded to a total of 259 calls. As of today, they’ve responded to a total of 238 calls for 2014. Below is a full list of dates and descriptions of all the calls that they responded to.

October 17th, 11:03AM, ready squad responded to 112 Sunnyside Trailer Park, to investigate a complaint of open burning. Firefighters found an illegal burn pit and explained to the occupant that open burning is not allowed within the city limits. Time out 20 minutes.

Call No. 227 October 19th, 1:03PM, ready squad responded to 301 7th Ave NE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate gas smell. Firefighters checked the area and found a cut natural gas line. Firefighters on scene requested a full response from the fire department and MDU was requested to assist. Cause-home owner accidentally cut natural gas line. No injuries reported. Time out 55 minutes.

October 19th, 1:03PM, fire department hazardous materials team responded to 301 7th Ave NE, Single Family Dwelling, to assist ready squad with a natural gas leak. MDU arrived on scene and stop the leak. No injuries reported. Time out 55 minutes.

October 21st, 6:42PM, fire department responded to 322 4th Ave SW, Single Family Dwelling, to a report of a fire in an oven range. Fire was out upon arrival of fire units. Firefighters extracted smoke form the structure. (1) Person was being treated for possible smoke inhalation. Cause-burnt food. Time out 25 minutes.

October 23rd, 9:37AM, ready squad responded to 1510 6th Ave SW, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate smoke detector activation. Firefighters found visible smoke and requested additional firefighters. Time out 55 minutes.

October 23rd, 9:47AM, fire department responded to 1510 6th Ave SW #10, Multi Family Dwelling, to a report of smoke. Firefighters extinguished a small fire on the stove top and investigate. Most probable cause-accidental. No injuries were reported. Time out 30 minutes.

October 23rd, 11:56AM, ready squad responded to 1202 12th Ave SE, Dr. Dawn’s Pet Shop, to investigate smoke smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-light ballast. Time out 20 minutes.

October 26th, 12:02AM, fire department responded to 2315 10th St SE, to a report of a vehicle smoking. Firefighters checked the vehicle for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-overheated vehicle. No injuries reported. Time out 35 minutes.

October 30th, 3:01PM, ready squad responded to 319 5th St NE, Lincoln Grade School, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was rest. Time out 25 minutes.

October 31st, 8:39AM, ready squad responded to 421 18th St NE, Heritage Center, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-system malfunction. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 20 minutes.

November 1st, 6:59PM, ready squad responded to 308 6th Ave NE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate sparking in a kitchen appliance. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-Oven range malfunction. Time out 25 minutes.

November 3rd, 3:00PM, ready squad responded to 2605 Circle Drive, NDSH-Lahaug Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-flow alarm on the sprinkler system. Fire alarm was rest. Time out 30 minutes.

November 5th, 9:21PM, ready squad responded to 300 2nd Ave NE, Jamestown Business Center, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 15 minutes.
