N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Due to a declining deer population and an increasing demand for licenses, North Dakota game and fish is considering a drastic change in how licenses are issued.
Wildlife Division Chief Jeb Williams says the new system will give more people an opportunity to hunt.
During public hearings in the spring, game and fish heard from a lot of hunters who said they didn’t think the current system was distributing licenses fairly, because some hunters couldn’t get one, and others were getting two or three.
