N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Dickey County Sheriff says a Texas man who was arrested in Oakes last week may have a connection to an October 5th stabbing south of town.
Sheriff Jim Bohannon says 63 year old Reymundo Leyva of Crystal City, Texas may be “a person involved” in the incident which resulted in the stabbing of Jesus Regaldo.
Eiberto Garza was hit in the head with a blunt object during the altercation, and Bohannon says a third individual was also injured that night sustaining broken fingers.
Bohannon says Regaldo has been moved from an Aberdeen hospital to a Fargo hospital after his condition did not improve. No arrests have been made. Bohannon says the “complex investigation” continues.
Leyva was arrested in an unrelated incident on October 15th by Oakes police on Texas weapons and armed robbery charges, as well as a parole violation. He waived his right to extradition on those charges this week in district court.
