CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The North Dakota University System’s VCSU Presidential Search Committee met on the Valley City State campus this week interviewing five candidates over three days. The committee narrowed the pool to two finalists:
Tisa A. Mason, Ed.D., vice president for student affairs, Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kansas.
And Daniel J. Shipp, Ed.D., chief student affairs officer/dean of students and associate vice chancellor, University of Nebraska Omaha.
Chair of the State Board of Higher Education and search committee Kirsten Diederich says “this week’s interviews were a great opportunity for the candidates to visit the campus and give them a better understanding of the culture at Valley City State. I believe we’ve found two solid candidates who could successfully lead this institution.”
The State Board of Higher Education will conduct final interviews with the candidates on Thursday, October 30, prior to that day’s board meeting on the campus. The selection of the next VCSU president will be announced immediately following the interviews.
