(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes High School football team’s rushing attack continued to be as salty as its passing game on Friday night as the #2 seeded Tornadoes easily defeated Kidder County 49-18.
Oakes had four total scores from Erik Loepp, three on the ground and one through the air, courtesy of a pass from Bryce Meehl that went for 90 yards. Meehl also ran in a score from 85 yards out. Loepp finished with 117 yards rushing, while Austin Kelly managed 73 yards with two touchdowns; one in each half.
Oakes now stands at 5-0 in Class A Region I and 6-0 overall. Next up for Oakes is a contest on Friday October 10. The final regular season home game features the Tornadoes and the Bulldogs of Milnor/North Sargent.
