N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for September 19th through October 2nd.

According to the report, the Jamestown Fire Department has been busy the past two weeks, responding to ten different incidents. For the entire year of 2014, the JFD has responded to a total of 214 calls. That compares to 259 total calls for 2013. Below is a rundown of all the calls the JFD responded to between September 19th and October 2nd.

September 20th, 8:18PM, fire department responded to 1511 Gardenette Drive #2, Multi Family Dwelling, to a report of smoke. Firefighters extracted smoke from the structure. Cause-accidentally turned on wrong burner. No injuries reported. Time out 45 minutes.

September 22nd, 4:38PM, fire department heavy rescue unit responded to east of old Highway 10, to a report of a person/s needing extrication. One person was extricated from an overturned semi. Cause-rollover. No firefighter injuries were reported. Time out 50 minutes.

September 23rd, 12:40PM, ready squad responded to 2700 8th Ave SW, Hampton Inn & Suites, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.

September 23rd, 8:15PM, ready squad responded to 701 3rd St NW, Ann Carlson Center, to investigate smoke alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-cooking. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.

September 24th, 9:39AM, fire department responded to 222 5th St NE, Back Yard, to a report of smoke. Firefighters checked the area and found burn pit being used. Occupant was advised of what may be burnt in the open fire pit. Time out 15 minutes.

September 25th, 10:58AM, ready squad responded to 1009 7th St NE, Wilson Area, to investigate carbon monoxide. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 30 ppm was detected. Manager was advised to try and maintain fresh air while using fueled fired equipment. Cause-maintenance equipment. Time out 30 minutes.

September 26th, 12:36AM, fire department responded to 410 4th St SE, Vehicle Fire, to a report of a car on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-under investigation. No injuries reported. Time out 2 hours.

September 26th, 4:34AM, ready squad responded to 1022 6th Ave SW, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0 ppm was detected. Cause-faulty detector. Time out 40 minutes.

September 26th, 8:45AM, ready squad responded to 501 19th St NE, Ava Maria Village, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-bread toaster. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 15 minutes.

September 26th, 7:24PM, ready squad responded to 203 2nd Ave SE, Jamestown Middle School, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 20 minutes.

September 27th, 1:37AM, fire department heavy rescue unit responded to 1505 70th Ave SE, Northwest of Pingree, to a report of person/s trapped under vehicle. Firefighters extricated one person. Cause-vehicle rollover. No firefighter injuries reported. Time out 2 hours.
