N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The name of the Ft. Totten man that was killed after striking a moose on Highway 2 has been released.
37 year-old Lavern Littlewind Sr. was found dead after he and three children struck a moose at around 10:05 PM Monday night roughly one mile East of Michigan, North Dakota. The vehicle they were driving rolled several times, ejecting all occupants. The children ages 3, 5, and 10 were unrestrained and were all transported to Altru Hospital.
The animal died upon impact. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
