CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) the Valley City Hi-Liners have advanced to the East Region Tournament, with a 4-1 victory over Wahpeton on Monday night.

The Hi-Lners swept the Huskies in the two doubles matches. The teams of Brandon Miller/Same Jenson and Riley Miller/Hunter Burchill each defeated their counter parts in straight sets.

On the Singles court, the Hi-Liners took wins in both number one and three singles to cement the victory. Valley City’s Dalton Ondracek captured the number one singles win over Jacob Fehr 6-2, 6-3. At #3 singles Collin White was a 6-2,6-4 winner over Kyler Dean.

Valley City will compete in the East Region Tournament this Thursday in Grand Forks
