(NewsDakota.com) – After setting a school record with 501 yards of total offense, University of Jamestown QB Beau Eriksson was named the NAIA National Player of the Week and the North Star Player of the Week.
The junior from Devils Lake, is in his second full-season as the Jimmie starter and had been waiting for a game like that to help jump-start the offense in 2014. Saturday’s 40-20 win over Waldorf was the first for UJ in 2014 and their record now stands at 1-2.
Eriksson finished with 453 yards threw the air and three touchdowns. He also had 48 yards rushing with a touchdown.
Jamestown will host Valley City St. this weekend in a North Star conference game in conjunction with Homecoming festivities. Its the 114th time that the Jimmies and Vikings will get together on the gridiron.
