N.D. (NewsDakota.com) In an effort to enhance traffic safety, the North Dakota Highway Patrol is gearing up for the holiday weekend with extra patrols. Troopers will also be conducting alcohol saturation and sobriety checkpoints.

Sobriety checkpoints will be held in Burke, Cass, Ward and Williams counties. Alcohol saturation patrols will be held in Stark and Dunn counties. Troopers in Minot are providing public education and rollover simulator demonstrations.

The Highway Patrol reminds drivers to buckle up, obey posted speed limits and do not drink and drive. These three simple actions will greatly enhance traffic safety for all North Dakota citizens.
