N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A North Dakota school will be receiving a one-time grant of $750 for celebrating Farm to School Month in October.

According to FARRMS Executive Director Sue Balcom, The National Farm to School Network has offered the grant to a school in North Dakota to assist with activities for Farm to School month. Only ten awards will be given to selected states and the deadline for schools to apply is September 16th.

North Dakota will be celebrating Farm to School week Sept. 14 – 20 with various activities in schools around the state. National Farm to School Month is October and teachers, cooks and principals are encouraged to keep the local food coming until season’s end.
