S.D. – The 2014 North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Volleyball Preseason All-Conference Team was announced Tuesday.  The conference coaches’ had selected senior right side Josette Glatt of Mayville State (N.D.) as its NSAA Volleyball Player-of-the-Year.

 Eight players are listed on the NSAA Volleyball Preseason All-Conference team.  Six of those players were selected to 2013 NSAA Volleyball All-Conference First Team. 

 Dakota State (S.D.) and Mayville State each have three selections on the NSAA Volleyball Preseason All-Conference team.  Jamestown (N.D.) have two selections on the preseason team.

 The players listed on the preseason team included Dakota State’s Katherine Gonzalez, Caitlin Pick and Stacey Westby (Schuller); Jamestown’s Janna Johnson and Alaina Brown and Mayville State’s Glatt, Remington Werner and Katie Wangberg.

 The 2014 volleyball season kicks off on Thursday as the Jimmies start a tournament in Florida.  Most of the NSAA schools will start their volleyball season this weekend with Dakota State playing in the Mount Mercy (Iowa) Tournament Friday-Saturday; Mayville State and Valley City State (N.D.) in the Morningside (Iowa) Tournament Friday-Saturday and Dickinson State (N.D.) hosts Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) on Saturday.
