Kuska, 86, of Dickey, ND, died Monday, August 18, 2014 at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

Roiene was born on May 12, 1928, in Rosco Township, the daughter of John W. and Rosemarie (Coyle) Winters.  She attended country schools in the area until the eighth grade, when she worked more steadily on the family farm.  She married Alfred Kuska on November 15, 1945 in Aberdeen, SD.  They started their farm near Dickey and was living there until her passing.  They enjoyed going to dances and playing cards with friends.  While helping Alfred on their farm, Roiene was also an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Adrian, where she made quilts and belonged to a Bible study.  Roiene was very involved with her family and enjoyed cooking and baking her grandchildren’s favorite dishes.  Her pastime was spent watching Wheel of Fortune and the Minnesota Twins, but her favorite was spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Roiene is survived by children, Donna (Al) Larson, Dilworth, MN, Diane (Don) McCabe, Fargo, ND, Lynn Kuska, Dickey, ND, and Denice Porter, LaMoure, ND; grandchildren, Jennifer Lee, Tiffany Gaber, Shawn McCabe, Heidi Riddle, Casey Kuska, Blake Kuska, Nicole Peyerl, Brice Kuska, Todd Porter, Blain Porter, Jodi Porter, and Calli Porter; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Gertrude Peterson, Harriet Kuska, and Bernice Winters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Dennis Kuska; grandson, Cody Kuska; sister, Verna Mae Peterson; and brother, John Winters.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Adrian, ND.

Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Adrian.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Adrian.

Interment: Dickey Cemetery, Dickey, ND.
