N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department had a busy week from July 20th through the 24th.
According to Fire Chief Jim Ruether, the Department has responded to 162 calls in total so far for 2014. Below is a full list of all the calls, dates and times that the Jamestown Fire Department responded to.
July 12th, 11:07AM, ready squad responded to 300 2nd Ave NE, Dynamics Marketing, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-systems malfunction. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.
July 12th, 7:50PM, ready squad responded to 2605 Circle Drive, NDSH-Lahaug Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-burnt food. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.
July 16th, 4:47PM, fire department responded to 610 11th St NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to a report of smoke showing from an upper balcony. Firefighters investigated and no fire. Cause-BBQ grill. No injuries reported. Time out 25 minutes.
July 16th, 11:08PM, ready squad responded to 1717 11th Ave NE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 82 ppm was detected. Advised occupants to vent the home and have gas appliances checked by qualified firm or individual. Cause-unknown. Time out 1 hour.
