(NewsDakota.com) A California-based fruit packing company is recalling some lots of its peaches, plums, nectarines and pluots after the product tested positive for listeria, a potentially dangerous food-borne bacterium.

Wawona Packing Co. is recalling the fruits packed between June 1, 2014 through July 12, 2014, which were shipped directly to retailers and wholesalers. Consumers are being told that some of the products were sold in BJ’s, Costco, Trader Joe’s, and other retail locations.

Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. is also recalling several in-store baked desserts that may contain fresh peaches, nectarines, and/or plums supplied by Wawona.
