N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Severe storms that made their way across the state on July 21st caused a lot of damage in certain areas and the Bismarck National Weather Service has released their damage survey for Foster County.

Peak winds were estimated to reach upwards of 90 to 100 mph. Thunderstorms tore through Foster County causing extensive damage to a grain elevator and grain bins. Some were even torn from their foundations after being hit by flying tree trunks and other debris. Farm home suffered roof and siding damage and windows were broken. Agricultural damage was also present with some row crops being laid flat.

Outside of the highest wind area, a semi truck was blown off the highway near Melville with tree branches broken across the rest of the county. There were no reported injuries or fatalities during the storm.
