CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Nearly 300 people attended the Welcome Event open to people who are new to the Barnes County and Valley City area.

A number of civic, school and church leaders introduced themselves to these new residents who had a chance to get to know a few people in the community during the July 21 Welcome Event at the Dacotah Pavilion in Chautauqua Park.

A special thanks to all of those who worked to provide or serve food, music, games and prizes during the event sponsored by City-County Health District.
