CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Valley City commissioner Duane Magnuson issued a public apology to Mayor Bob Werkhoven for statements that ran in a political ad stating why he and commissioners Nielson and Pedersen supported mayoral candidate Jeff Edwards.

During the July 15 city commission meeting resident Lloyd Nelson asked commissioners Magnuson, Pedersen & Nielson to apologize for comments he said were hurtful toward Werkhoeven before the election.

Mayor Bob Werkhoven issued this statement one day after the June 10 election.

Werkhoven says it’s time to move on and work together to solve city issues and problems.
