CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Anyone who is new to the Valley City-Barnes County area is invited to attend a Welcome Event to be held Monday, July 21 from 5:30pm to 7:30 pm at the Dacotah Pavilion in Chautauqua Park in Valley City. Chautauqua Park is located north of Mercy Hospital on 12th Street northeast in Valley City.
Representatives from Valley City organizations will attend and share with people who are new to the area what is available in our area…from service organizations, social groups, health care, businesses, churches and more.
Jennifer Feist, Valley City-Barnes County Development Corporation Director says, “This can be a time for anyone new to find out the answers to all their questions about the area, and what’s fun to do in Valley City.”
Food will be provided. There will be music, games and prizes including many gift certificates from area businesses. Plan for an evening of fun.
Theresa Will, director of the City County Health District says, “Valley City and Barnes County want to extend a welcoming hand to anyone new to our area, whether you are from another county, another state, or from anther country… basically anyone moving to our area outside Barnes County.”
The partners joining together to host the event will be Mercy Hospital, the Valley City-Barnes County Development Corporation, City County Health District, Valley City State University, NDSU Extension Barnes County, and What In The World Is Going On.
