N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run reports for June 20th through July 10th.
According to Fire Chief Jim Ruehter, The Jamestown Fire Department has responded to 150 calls so far for 2014. In 2013, the Department responded to 259 calls. Below is a full list of calls that the JFD responded to.
June 23rd, 9:10AM, ready squad responded to 305 Business Loop West, to investigate a possible code violation about an obstructed fire hydrant. Firefighters checked the area and the property owner was in compliance of the fire code. Time out 20 minutes.
June 25th, 12:20PM, ready squad responded to 1218 3rd Ave NE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0 ppm was detected. Cause-detector malfunction. Time out 25 minutes.
June 25th, 7:38PM, ready squad responded to 5855 3rd St SE, Cavendish Farms, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none detected. Cause-detector head. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 20 minutes.

June 27th, 2:55PM, ready squad responded to 624 11th Ave SE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 43 ppm was detected. Advised occupant to have a qualified firm or individual repair the water heater. Cause-water heater malfucntion. Time out 25 minutes.
June 27th, 5:31PM, ready squad responded to 317 8th St SW, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate smoke smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire non was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 20 minutes.
June 28th, 3:15PM, fire department responded to 1122 6th Ave SE, Single Family Dwelling, to a report of a fire with a tree branch and power line. Firefighters stood by until Ottertail Power Company arrived on scene. Cause-wind. No injuries reported. Time out 55 minutes.
July 1st, 6:55PM, fire department responded to 1322 10th St SW, Multi Family Dwelling, to a report of smoke coming from an apartment. Firefighters exhausted smoke form the apartment and investigated. Cause-accidentally turned range burner on. No injuries reported. Time out 1 hour.
July 2nd, 8:23PM, fire department responded to 1609 Business Loop East, Parking Lot, to a report of a semi on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-undetermined. No injuries reported. Time out 1 hour.

July 9th, 12:46PM, fire department responded to I-94 Exit #258 Off Ramp, Semi/Trailer, to a report of a semi on fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-dragging brakes. No injuries reported. Time out 1 hour.
