N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A community level Needs Assessment was conducted as part of the Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant that Central Valley Health has completed.
Robin Iszler with Central Valley Health stated that the Needs Assessment was used to determine how and where to focus prevention efforts to address Underage and Adult Binge Drinking in the region. After reviewing the data of alcohol-related crashes, arrest rates and youth and adult consumption factors, Central Valley Health has developed priorities for the community.
A plan will now be developed to help guide efforts to address these problems. The grant that Central Valley Health received was approximately $259,669 and will be used to help combat underage drinking and adult binge drinking.
