(NewsDakota.com)  After more than a week off, due to weather postponements and a cancellation, the Post 25 baseball team took their show on the road for a central region match-up with Hatton.  Carrington won the first game 5-4 in eight innings, lost the night cap 10-5 in five innings, the night cap game was called early due to darkness.  Carrington is now 9-5 overall and 5-3 in the region, Hatton is now 13-6 overall and 3-6 in region play.

Alex Jarrett knocked in the winning run for Post 25 in the top of the eighth inning to help his team to victory in the first game.  Brett Lyman was the winning pitcher in relief of Logan Clifton.  In the top of the third inning, Hatton’s defense turned a rare triple play.

Hatton had 15 hits in the second game and scored 10 runs to get the victory over Carrington.  Post 25 scored five runs in the bottom of the third but that’s all they would score the rest of the game as it was called early due to darkness.  Brett Lyman took the loss in relief for Carrington.

Next up for Post 25 will be today at Carrington City Park against fellow central region team Mayville.  Pregame starts about 4:45pm and first pitch at 5pm on AM 1600 KDAK and newsdakota.com.  Two seven-inning games are scheduled, this is a makeup from a July 1st rain out.
