N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released their results for the Southeast Region Alcohol Saturation event during the 4th of July weekend.
Troopers with the NDHP conducted the event in Stutsman, Barnes, Cass, Traill and Steel counties between July 3rd and 6th. During the saturation, patrols worked overtime to crack down on alcohol and driving in the state.
About 32 written warnings were distributed over the weekend. 33 citations were issued along with three DUI arrests, two driving under suspension arrests and four open container citations. According to the Highway Patrol, about 25% of all traffic fatality victims in North Dakota this year have been killed in alcohol related crashes.
