CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) 12-year-old singer Caitlin Sinness known as Caitlin Country is from Sebring, Florida. She has a new C.D. out called “I’M UP.” She also has local ties to Valley City. Her grandparents are Lon & Sharon Sinness and her mother is Candy Sinness who grew up in Valley City before moving to Florida.

She was discovered by Jack Gale from Playback Records in Nashville Tennessee back in February of 2013. She started to raise a few eyebrows with her voice while singing karaoke at a very young. She entered a local “Idol” contest in Florida and won.

Caitlin say she was really inspired by Carrie Underwood and was fortunate enough to go to the Grand Ole Opry to see Carrie Underwood and Josh Turner.  She says, “One day I hope to be on same stage as part of the greatest country music show on earth.”

Caitlin Sinness will be performing on Wednesday, July 2 in Valley City during the Music at the Courthouse Lawn at about 7:15pm. The public is welcome to attend. A freewill offering will be taken to support the City Park bandshell.
