Lindseth, 96, lifetime resident of Oakes, ND, passed away in Hillsboro, OR, on Sunday, June 29, 2014. In 2011, she moved to Oregon to be closer to family members living in Washington and Oregon. While living in Oregon, she resided at the Avamere Assisted Living Home in Hillsboro.
Elsie Louise, daughter of Henry and Augusta (Schroeder) Kluever, was born November 30, 1917 in Jackson, MN. She later moved with her family to a farm near Independence, ND. She was united in marriage to Sigurd Lindseth on March 28, 1936. They lived and farmed together on the Lindseth farm north of Oakes until his death in 1989. She then moved into Oakes where she resided until 2011. During her life, she spent many hours volunteering at the Good Samaritan Society and Grace Lutheran Church where she was a lifelong member.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters: Erling (Ouida), Snohomish, WA, Dennis, Husum, WA, Mark (Tammy), Aberdeen, SD; Denise Thompson, Fargo, ND, and Mary (Cal) Laske, Hillsboro, OR, as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one sister, Elaine Decker, Minneapolis, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers, Walter, Rudy, and Herbert Kluever.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. with her funeral service starting at 10:00 a.m. at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Oakes, with burial to follow at the Oakes View Cemetery. Reverend Justin Fenger will officiate, and it is her request that all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren be honorary casketbearers.
