N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Busy might be an understatement when it comes to the 4th of July weekend in Jamestown.
Tour Jamestown Executive Director Searle Swedlund stated that all the events taking place in Jamestown seem like a lot, but if you plan it just right, you can catch just about everything that the weekend will have to offer.
For the community of Jamestown, the celebration of White Cloud’s birthday will be a highlight of the weekend. The Jamestown Classic Car Club will be holding their annual Car Show at McElroy Park on Saturday. Jack Meikle has helped out with the car show for several years and have usually tried to hold it in conjunction with White Cloud Days.
For more information on the Car Club or to register for the event, you can contact Jack Meikle at 701-320-4246.
The 117th Annual Stutsman County Fair will also be taking place during the weekend. Fair board member Jim Exner stated that the Murphy Brothers Exposition, after an almost 20 year absence, will be returning to the Stutsman County Fairgrounds. Exner mentioned that Jerry Murphy, one of the owners of the Exposition, said that Jamestown was what really got him started.
