CITY, N.D (NewsDakota.com) Bjornson Park and Valley City Town and Country Club were in full swing over the weekend at the Annual Viking Golf Scramble Hosted by the Viking Century Club.  22 teams competed in the scramble which consisted of an Open Flight and a Championship flight.

While fourteen teams completed the two nine hole courses eight-under or better, only two could be crowned the days champions. Earning the win in the Championship Flight was the team of James Thornton, Steve Sedler, Cody Flatten, Jerod Satrom, and Kory Klubben. They finished the day 14-under for a score of 57.

The Open flight championship went to the team of Brian Yanish, Casey Olney, Kari Olney, Mark Potts and Kirk Olson. They completed the event 9-under with a score of 62.

Awards were also handed out for several hole contests and the coveted Hole-in-one. Sadly nobody was able to achieve the rare task.

3rd Place – 58 (13-under): Bob Bergan, Chad Bergan, Doug Bergan, Pat Bresnahan, Ken Dodd
