N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A severe weather system predicted by the National Weather Service in Bismarck did not disappoint.
Bill Abeleing, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, stated that the state saw heavy rain, lightning strikes, hail and severe high winds. A couple of brief tornado touchdowns were also reported, with one being spotted near Ashley, North Dakota.
The heavy rains also reportedly caused flooding in some counties, including Stutsman County. A reported 2.45 inches hit the Jamestown area.
