(NewDakota.com) After their game was cancelled last Saturday due to rain in Carrington, Post 25 was back in action yesterday in Jamestown at Jack Brown Stadium. Carrington beat the Jamestown Blues 12-2 by 10-run rule in the fifth inning in the first game and led 12-2 in the second game, but the game was called after the second inning due to weather. Carrington is now 5-2 overall, the Blues are 1-5 overall. Last Thursday, Carrington swept Nelson County 11-1 and 11-5 in Carrington and with their win yesterday, they are on a three game winning streak right now.
Brett Lyman picked up the victory yesterday, throwing 84 pitches, four strikeouts, six walks and allowed two runs on three hits. Patrick Freeman was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk for Carrington. Connor Wendel drove in three runs and was 1-for-3 as well.

Carrington Post 25 Legion Baseball vs. Hope/Finley in Carrington for today has been postponed, will be made up as two 7-inning games in Hope on July 10th.

The Carrington Babe Ruth team is now 6-1 overall on the year as they swept Devils Lake yesterday 14-0 and 4-2 in Devils Lake. Payton Smith was the winning pitcher in the first game and Drew Page won the second. Next up for Carrington will be this weekend in Velva for the Velva Tourney.
